The role at Ken's Foods involves preparing quality food products efficiently and in a timely manner for packaging lines. This position requires hands-on involvement with various processing equipment, some of which operate with different levels of automation. The successful candidate will be responsible for comprehending and following detailed process control instructions, formula recipes, and completing all necessary paperwork associated with production. A key focus of the role is ensuring product quality, which involves verifying that the correct quantity and quality of raw materials are used consistently. The employee must adhere to all sanitary practices aligned with GMP, including equipment cleaning and washouts, ensuring compliance with corporate standards regarding food safety, food safety culture, quality, and facility cleanliness.

In addition to preparing raw materials for processing, the individual will coordinate with production personnel to facilitate smooth product transfers to packaging lines. Optional responsibilities include operating a fork truck to retrieve raw materials, provided the employee holds a valid license. The role also involves assisting in cleaning and maintaining the inventory of raw material storage areas. This multifaceted position requires vigilance in identifying potential contamination issues continuously and reporting any suspicious activities in or around the plant to uphold food safety responsibilities. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to read and print simple sentences
  • basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • physical ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift weights as specified
  • ability to follow one- or two-step instructions
  • attention to detail and ability to identify safety or contamination issues
  • willingness to work in a safe and alert manner
  • availability to work with minimal supervision
  • fork truck license preferred but optional
  • ability to perform tasks involving cognitive function and sound judgment
