Job Requirements
- 1 year of relevant customer service experience in office, logistics, or ocean transportation
- intermediate computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

Job Qualifications
- 1 year of experience relevant to customer service in an office environment, logistics, and/or ocean transportation
- Intermediate computer skills with MS Word, Excel, Outlook

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Duties
- Provide support to operations across multiple inbound groups, including Miami, NE, and Gulf
- Ensure all shipment documentation is filed correctly in the shared outlook folder
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer and internal communications via calls and emails
- Review documentation for compliance with government regulations
- Check cargo release authorization by government agencies
- Coordinate with credit and collections regarding customer credit and payments
- Review bills of lading, delivery orders, ocean freight payments, and coordinate with auditing department for additional charges
- Schedule delivery dates and release shipments to transportation teams
- Notify refrigeration mechanics for equipment transportation preparation
- Inform customers about any delays or damages
- Close vessel records timely in accordance with U.S. Customs deadlines
- Prepare General Order paperwork for cargo not cleared by U.S. Customs and send to appropriate warehouses
- Prepare and transmit paperless bonded cargo documentation (CF7512) and monitor releases
- Keep transportation department informed of bond numbers
- Ensure CPP (USDA) properly releases perishable cargo
- Inform customers/brokers of any held cargo and fumigation requirements
- Coordinate re-stacking with CPP (USDA) and operations, including equipment and crew scheduling
- Request customer authorization for fumigation and temperature settings
- Notify reefer department for temperature adjustments
- Coordinate fumigation processes with fumigation company and USDA inspector
- Handle heavy phone communications with customers regarding U.S. Customs and CPP procedures
- Coordinate damaged equipment transfers and surveyor authorizations
- Manage LTL cargo availability and release to warehouse via AS400
- Send warehouse work orders for all LTL cargo
- Perform additional duties as assigned
