The role of an In-Store Shopper at Whole Foods Market is critical to the success of their rapidly growing grocery delivery services. This position blends customer service and e-commerce responsibilities, where team members prepare and fulfill online customer orders for delivery and/or pickup. The shopper works throughout the store, selecting a variety of goods ranging from fresh produce, meat, dairy, household items, and prepared foods to specialty products like cheeses, wines, and beers. Flexibility is paramount in this role, as shoppers need to meet diverse scheduling demands, especially availability during weekends, nights, and holidays, which are peak times for grocery delivery.

In-Store Shoppers must be detail-oriented and efficient, accurately fulfilling orders using handheld mobile technology. They ensure the staging area remains organized and support other departments within the store as necessary, such as cashiering or grocery stocking duties. The position requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods. Whole Foods Market offers competitive wages ranging from $15.00 to $24.40 hourly, depending on experience, and comprehensive benefits under the "Whole Benefits" program that includes paid time off, health and wellness programs, financial support, and a store discount. New team members who successfully complete their initial 90 days may be eligible for a base rate increase.
