Job Requirements
- proficiency in remaining standing for lengthy periods
- competence in bending shaping and transporting heavy bags of flour sugar and additional baking ingredients up to 50 pounds
- capability to manage hot ovens and baking equipment effectively
- adaptability to a fast-paced and welcoming work environment
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior baking experience preferred
- knowledge of baking techniques and food safety standards
- ability to operate baking equipment safely
- strong attention to detail
- good physical stamina
Job Duties
- prepare and bake a wide variety of baked goods including bread cakes cookies pastries pies and other specialty items
- operate ovens and other baking equipment ensuring temperatures are correct and baked goods are cooked to perfection
- monitor ingredient inventory levels order supplies and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- clean and sanitize baking equipment workstations and utensils to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- regularly inspect baked goods for quality ensuring they meet the bakery’s standards in appearance texture and taste
