Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods
  • capability to lift and carry heavy bags up to 50 pounds
  • ability to operate hot ovens and baking equipment safely
  • flexibility to work varied shifts including early mornings and weekends
  • strong communication skills
  • willingness to adhere to strict food safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in commercial baking or retail bakery environment
  • knowledge of baking techniques and equipment operation
  • understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • attention to detail and quality control skills
  • good organizational and time management skills
  • ability to follow recipes and guidelines accurately

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake a wide variety of baked goods including bread, cakes, cookies, pastries, pies, and specialty items
  • operate ovens and baking equipment ensuring correct temperatures and baking times
  • monitor ingredient inventory levels and order supplies as needed
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitize baking equipment, workstations, and utensils
  • regularly inspect baked goods for quality in appearance, texture, and taste
  • complete daily par sheet to manage production levels
  • comply with health and safety regulations and food handling procedures
