Job Description
Marriott International is a globally renowned hospitality company known for delivering exceptional guest experiences and luxury accommodations across its diverse portfolio of brands. Among its elite collection is The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts, which boasts over 120 distinctive properties in more than 35 countries. Each property within The Luxury Collection is celebrated for its unique architecture, rich history, and cultural significance, offering guests authentic and memorable experiences deeply connected with the locale. This brand is built on over a century of experience, tracing its origins back to 1906 with the Italian CIGA brand, one of Europe's most iconic luxury hotel collections. Marriott International prides itself on fostering an environment that values inclusivity, diversity, and equal employment opportunities, ensuring a workplace where every associate can thrive and contribute meaningfully to the company’s legacy of hospitality excellence.
The role of a Food and Beverage Server in The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts is pivotal to maintaining the high standards of guest service that the brand is known for. This position involves more than just serving food and beverages— it is about creating a welcoming atmosphere where guests feel valued and cared for throughout their dining experience. Servers are responsible for setting tables according to event types and service expectations, providing detailed answers to menu questions, and ensuring special dietary needs and requests are clearly communicated to the kitchen team. Accuracy and professionalism in order processing using the MICROS system are essential to guarantee smooth transactions and guest satisfaction.
Beyond the technical duties, servers play a critical role in guest relations by checking in to ensure satisfaction after each course or drink, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining cleanliness and organization within their service areas. The role requires physical stamina to stand or walk during shifts, lift and carry items safely, and maneuver around potentially challenging environments such as uneven surfaces or crowded service areas.
The position offers a rewarding employment experience that includes health care benefits, retirement plans, paid time off or sick leave, life and disability insurance, and a suite of wellness programs designed to support the wellbeing of every employee. This role is perfect for individuals who possess a genuine passion for hospitality, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding the distinguished reputation of The Luxury Collection. Candidates with at least one year of related work experience and a high school diploma or GED equivalent are encouraged to apply. Although no prior supervisory experience or certifications are required, strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment are critical.
Working at The Luxury Collection means joining a global community of hospitality professionals dedicated to offering guests not just a service but an enduring experience. It is a place where you can do your best work, begin your purpose, belong to a supportive team, and become the best version of yourself.
