Job Requirements

pass a criminal background check and drug screen prior to employment with senior helpers
high school diploma or equivalent

Job Qualifications

prior experience working with elderly clients in a caregiving role preferred
familiarity with assisting seniors in activities such as bathing dressing grooming feeding and toileting
understanding of dementia alzheimer's disease and other memory-related conditions
strong communication and interpersonal skills
a caring attitude and patience to work with clients who may have physical or cognitive limitations

Job Duties

assisting clients with activities of daily living including bathing grooming and dressing
providing companionship and emotional support to clients
helping with meal preparation and medication reminders
performing light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and linen
accompanying clients to appointments and outings
monitoring and reporting changes in client’s health or behavior
