Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent education
  • Minimum one year of customer service experience
  • Proficiency in English language communication
  • Ability to perform assigned job safely and competently
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency including word processing
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize
  • Commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent education
  • One year of experience in a strong customer service environment
  • Experience in a healthcare related work environment preferred
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English
  • Strong customer service, phone, and scheduling skills
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Effective communication skills consistent with a customer service focus

Job Duties

  • Perform patient check in and check out functions
  • Handle telephone calls and direct visitors
  • Manage patient registration and appointment scheduling
  • Ensure physician orders and insurance authorizations are obtained
  • Respond to patient record requests and update electronic medical records
  • Provide general administrative assistance specific to the imaging department
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers
