Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent education
- Minimum one year of customer service experience
- Proficiency in English language communication
- Ability to perform assigned job safely and competently
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency including word processing
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent education
- One year of experience in a strong customer service environment
- Experience in a healthcare related work environment preferred
- Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English
- Strong customer service, phone, and scheduling skills
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Effective communication skills consistent with a customer service focus
Job Duties
- Perform patient check in and check out functions
- Handle telephone calls and direct visitors
- Manage patient registration and appointment scheduling
- Ensure physician orders and insurance authorizations are obtained
- Respond to patient record requests and update electronic medical records
- Provide general administrative assistance specific to the imaging department
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers
