Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of related experience in food service or retail
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Food Handler Certification and/or Food Handler Card within 30 days of employment as required by local jurisdiction
- Ability to follow safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with food preparation and maintenance
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years related experience
- Experience in a high-volume customer facing environment preferred
- Experience in a high-volume retail environment with knowledge of merchandising and selling concepts preferred
- Food Handler Certification and/or Food Handler Card as required by local jurisdiction within 30 days of employment
Job Duties
- Prepare and maintain IKEA Food menu items according to the IKEA Food concept
- Adhere to food handling, health, and sustainability standards
- Respond to customer inquiries and support informed purchases
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, following cash handling policies
- Maintain equipment operation through adherence to guidelines and preventive maintenance
- Keep dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools clean and compliant with Food Safety Standards
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of dining and play areas
- Manage the Swedish Food Market including merchandising, pricing, stock rotation, and sanitization
- Maintain accurate and timely price communication on all food solutions
- Implement IKEA Food policies for goods receiving and inventory
- Adhere to workplace safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations, reporting issues promptly
- Promote a positive and inclusive IKEA culture among coworkers and customers
