Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain Food Handler Certification within 30 days of employment
- Experience in food service or retail environment preferred
- Ability to work part-time hours, 12-20 hours weekly
- Open availability Monday through Sunday
- Must pass background check and drug test as condition of employment
- Good physical stamina for standing and handling kitchen equipment
- Commitment to following safety and sanitation protocols
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years related experience
- Experience in a high-volume customer facing environment preferred
- Experience in a high-volume retail environment with knowledge of basic merchandising and selling concepts preferred
- Food Handler Certification or Food Handler Card required within 30 days of employment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Commitment to workplace safety and hygiene standards
Job Duties
- Prepare and maintain IKEA Food menu items according to the IKEA Food concept
- Adhere to food handling, health, and sustainability standards
- Respond to customer inquiries and process sales transactions accurately
- Maintain kitchen equipment through operating guidelines, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness and supply of dishes, utensils, and cooking tools complying with Food Safety Standards
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of dining and play areas
- Manage the Swedish Food Market including merchandising, pricing, stock rotation, and sanitization
- Communicate prices accurately across digital platforms, menu boards, and shelf tags
- Implement IKEA Food policies for goods receiving and inventory
- Adhere to safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations and report concerns promptly
- Support and contribute to an inclusive IKEA culture that values diversity
