Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- ability to work 34-40 hours per week with open availability Monday to Sunday
- must obtain Food Handler Certification or Food Handler Card within 30 days if not currently held
- strong communication and customer service skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- comply with food safety and workplace policies
- flexible to work varied shifts including weekends
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years related experience
- experience in a high-volume customer facing environment preferred
- experience in a high-volume retail environment with knowledge of basic merchandising and selling concepts preferred
- Food Handler Certification or Food Handler Card required within 30 days of employment
Job Duties
- Prepare and maintain IKEA Food menu items according to IKEA Food concept
- adhere to food handling, health, and sustainability standards
- respond to customer inquiries and process sales transactions accurately
- maintain equipment operation through troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
- maintain cleanliness of dishes, utensils, and food preparation areas according to food safety standards
- ensure cleanliness and organization of dining and play areas
- manage Swedish Food Market merchandising, pricing, stock rotation, and sampling equipment sanitation
- ensure accurate price communication across all food solutions including digital and menu boards
- maintain supply rotation and stocking following FIFO, expiration dates, and sustainability standards
- implement policies for goods receiving and monthly inventory
- adhere to food safety, workplace safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations
- promote IKEA culture embracing diversity among coworkers and customers
