The IHOP Combo Position plays an essential role within the restaurant, combining duties typically assigned to both dining area attendants and kitchen staff. This hybrid role requires team members to clear, clean, and reset tables efficiently, ensuring that the dining area is welcoming and spotless for guests at all times. Additionally, individuals in this position are responsible for washing dishes, pots, utensils, silverware, china, and glassware, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen in accordance with IHOP's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Combo Position requires attention to detail and adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the highest standards are met.
Employees in this role are expected to develop and maintain professional and functional working relationships with fellow IHOP team members and guests, promoting a positive dining experience. They must manage various cleaning tasks including waste disposal, supply stocking, and restroom maintenance, ensuring a hygienic environment throughout the restaurant. This position also involves receiving and storing food and supplies, rotating inventory to reduce waste, and following all health regulations and safety protocols outlined in IHOP's Safety Manual and SOPs.
Physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are critical to success in this position. Team members must be capable of lifting and moving heavy items and performing tasks that require standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching for extended periods. Job Qualifications

- successfully complete IHOP training course work as assigned
Job Duties
- Develop and maintain professional functional working relationships with IHOP team members and guests
- clear, clean and reset tables and clean chairs, booths and floors after guests leave
- pick up, sort and wash all china, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, utensils
- follow dish machine and/or sink procedures per IHOP SOP
- unload, un-box, rotate and store food, equipment and supplies as necessary
- stock and rotate all needed supplies in the service areas and dining room
- comply with all federal, state and local regulations as well as the IHOP Safety Manual and SOP health, sanitation and safety guidelines
- dispose of all trash properly
- check restrooms hourly to ensure proper stocking levels of supplies and the cleanliness of the facilities
- perform all cleaning duties according to posted cleaning charts
- comply with IHOP uniform and appearance standards per SOP guidelines
- perform other assignments or tasks as assigned by the General Manager, Assistant Manager or acting supervisor
