Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous cooking experience in a restaurant setting a plus but not required
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours during a shift
  • Capacity to lift or move up to 50 pounds
  • Full mobility of hands and arms
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Ability to work well with others

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read and follow food recipes accurately
  • Effective time management skills
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment operation
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Strong knife handling skills
  • Experience in high-volume cooking environment preferred but not required
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Job Duties

  • Read and prepare all food recipes to IHOP specifications
  • Prepare food within outlined ticket times
  • Read food tickets or receive verbal instruction
  • Use knives and other food preparation equipment
  • Operate large volume cooking equipment like flat tops, deep fryers, stoves and dishwashers
  • Set up equipment and verify stock
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
