Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous cooking experience in a restaurant setting a plus but not required
Ability to stand for up to 8 hours during a shift
Capacity to lift or move up to 50 pounds
Full mobility of hands and arms
Strong work ethic and reliability
Ability to work well with others

Job Qualifications

Ability to read and follow food recipes accurately
Effective time management skills
Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment operation
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Strong knife handling skills
Experience in high-volume cooking environment preferred but not required
Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Job Duties

Read and prepare all food recipes to IHOP specifications
Prepare food within outlined ticket times
Read food tickets or receive verbal instruction
Use knives and other food preparation equipment
Operate large volume cooking equipment like flat tops, deep fryers, stoves and dishwashers
Set up equipment and verify stock
Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
