Job Duties

  • Greet guests and determine the number in their party
  • seat guests by finding a clean, available table
  • pull out chairs and place menu in front of guest
  • guide guests through dining rooms and provide assistance
  • move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings for groups with special needs
  • ensure place settings are appropriate and clean
  • check menus for cleanliness and currency
  • maintain cleanliness of work areas and practice clean-as-you-go
  • monitor dining rooms for seating availability, safety, and guest well-being
  • follow company safety and security policies
  • report accidents and unsafe conditions
  • complete safety training and certifications
  • maintain uniform and personal appearance
  • protect company assets and confidentiality
  • welcome and acknowledge all guests according to standards
  • communicate clearly and professionally
  • answer telephones appropriately
  • develop positive working relationships and support team goals
  • ensure adherence to quality expectations
  • stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
