Job Description

As a line cook at this restaurant, you will be primarily responsible for the preparation and cooking of menu items in accordance with the designated times set by the Chef de Cuisine. The role requires a strong understanding of recipes and cooking methods, ensuring all food products are accurately prepared, cooked, plated, and presented to meet established standards. This position demands the ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak service times, maintain the cleanliness and safety of the kitchen area, and comply with all local health regulations and safety guidelines. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • current food handler's certification
  • ability to stand for long periods of time
  • ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • ability to properly use knives and kitchen equipment

  • maintain a current Food Handler's Certification and practice proper sanitation procedures

Job Duties

  • Primarily responsible for cooking and preparing food items according to given recipes
  • ensure that all food products have been prepared correctly before cooking, plating, and presentation
  • execute the menu items in accordance to the designated times given for each item by the Chef de Cuisine and prescribed recipes
  • interact with guests and coworkers in a friendly and professional manner
  • prepare all food products according to the prescribed methods and recipes
  • follow and maintain outlined cook times for all prepared items
  • maintain the highest level of food quality obtainable
