Job Description

The Human Resources Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the daily administrative operations of the Human Resources department. This position involves working closely with all departments and associates within the hotel to ensure top-notch internal customer service. In this role, the HR Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including maintaining and monitoring the applicant tracking system, managing hourly requisition postings, and administering the employee referral program. They will oversee the new hire process, from creating offers and initiating background checks to handling I-9 compliance and onboarding scheduling. The Assistant will generate employee IDs and emails for new hires, prepare onboarding packets, and facilitate the creation of name tags. Additionally, the HR Assistant will participate in and facilitate safety and associate advisory meetings, assist with property associate events, and engage in community outreach efforts. They will also be responsible for processing HR department invoices and fielding benefit questions, including managing open enrollment communications. Ordering office supplies for HR and reviewing payroll data for accuracy are important aspects of this role, along with managing payroll deductions and balancing payroll runs. This position ensures smooth payroll operations, handles general manager checks, and addresses pay discrepancies. The HR Assistant also manages various employee programs such as Shoes for Crews, parking, food safety, and tuition reimbursement. They will oversee the Employee of the Month recognition program and handle scheduling for Lobby Ambassadors, as well as create promotional flyers and update bulletin boards.
