Job Description
Wild Dunes Resort, a Destination by Hyatt, is a premier coastal resort offering a unique blend of Southern charm and modern convenience. Located on the beautiful Isle of Palms, this resort is renowned for its exceptional hospitality, stunning ocean views, and a variety of recreational activities such as beach access, tennis, and pickleball. The resort emphasizes creating unforgettable guest experiences while fostering a welcoming and supportive environment for its team members. Wild Dunes Resort is committed to inclusivity and diversity, valuing empathy, integrity, respect, inclusion, experimentation, and wellbeing as its core values. Employees at Wild Dunes Resort enjoy competitive wages, career advancement opportunities, comprehensive training, and a robust benefits package that highlights wellness and family support.
Within the resort, two distinctive food and beverage outlets, Hudson's Market & Café and The Sweet Shoppe, offer guests casual yet memorable dining experiences. Hudson's Market & Café delivers a perfect combination of convenience and coastal flair, featuring freshly made sandwiches, salads, coffee drinks, snacks, grocery essentials, and locally inspired treats. It serves as a convenient grab-and-go spot for breakfast, lunch, or beach-day provisions, also providing Lowcountry gifts and keepsakes that capture the essence of Isle of Palms. The Sweet Shoppe, on the other hand, brings out the inner child in everyone by offering a delightful selection of ice cream, candy, gelato, sundaes, and milkshakes, making it a beloved family dessert destination that enhances the overall resort experience.
The role of Food and Beverage Supervisor at these outlets is pivotal in maintaining exceptional service quality and operational excellence. This position involves leading and supervising the team, ensuring efficient communication between front and back of house staff, and maintaining a clean and organized restaurant environment. The supervisor is also responsible for upholding the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation, overseeing financial transactions to ensure security, and managing team performance, attendance, and conduct. The ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential due to the nature of the hospitality industry. This role demands professionalism, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering a positive and memorable guest experience at all times.
Joining Wild Dunes Resort means becoming part of a team that values each member's contributions and fosters a culture of growth and development. The resort offers competitive wages and extensive benefits, including free room nights, discounted room rates for friends and family, medical and dental insurance after 30 days, paid time off, paid family bonding time, adoption assistance, a 401K plan with company match, access to recreational facilities on days off, and retail discounts. These benefits reflect the resort's dedication to supporting its colleagues both personally and professionally. Wild Dunes Resort encourages applications from all qualified candidates regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status, promoting a workplace built on respect and belonging.
