Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Must be able to work various shifts including weekends, overnights and holidays
- Physical ability to perform repetitive motions involving bending, lifting, pushing and pulling
Job Qualifications
- Fluent in verbal and written English
- Ability to operate a vacuum cleaner and other equipment
- Ability to shampoo carpets and strip and wax floors as assigned
- Knowledge and ability to clean and arrange guest room in accordance with hotel standards
- Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts including weekends, overnight and holidays
- Knowledge of how to maintain a 5-Star level of service (preferred)
Job Duties
- Ensure proper levels of linens on all floors
- Clean assigned work areas including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, straightening furniture, emptying trashcans and replacing trash can liners
- Clean designated restrooms
- Assist Room Attendants on the floor
- Clean guestrooms during overnight shifts as needed
- Inspect all equipment and report any problems to appropriate management
- Follow up to ensure correction of problem
- Interact in a courteous and professional manner with guests and hotel staff
- Comply and follow directions to ensure guest and staff satisfaction
- Attend to guests' requests and/or issues
- Respond to all guest requests appropriately
- Always greet guests warmly with a smile, call them by name when known
- Able to work with Management on special projects
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
- Other duties as assigned
