The Housekeeping Houseperson role at InterContinental Indianapolis is integral to maintaining the hotel’s high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This position supports the housekeeping team by operating cleaning equipment, managing linen closets, moving furniture, and performing general cleaning duties to ensure guest rooms and public areas meet the brand’s luxury expectations. The Houseperson also ensures the timely delivery of guest requests and proper disposal of trash, contributing to smooth housekeeping operations.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in housekeeping preferably in a high volume hotel conference center or resort
  • prior heavy duty cleaning experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Operate housekeeping cleaning equipment including carpet and floor care tools as assigned
  • move furniture as necessary
  • participate in general cleaning tasks such as turning mattresses and removing sheers and drapes
  • ensure that all equipment is distributed and maintained in proper operating order
  • ensure that all linen closets are stocked
  • ensure delivery of guest request items to guest rooms
  • ensure that trash is collected and disposed of properly
  • perform additional assigned general tasks
