The Houseperson role at Hilton is a key position within the housekeeping department, designed to ensure that the hotel’s public and designated areas are maintained to impeccable standards. The Houseperson is entrusted with the responsibility of cleaning, maintaining, and revitalizing various spaces within the hotel, including restrooms, public areas, offices, and banquet or meeting rooms. As a full-time Houseperson, you will be an important part of the hotel’s mission to deliver outstanding guest service and maintain operational excellence. Your daily tasks will include dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, shampooing carpets, washing windows, and cleaning or waxing floors. Equally critical is the responsibility to remove trash, empty ashtrays, and ensure that supply rooms are adequately stocked and organized. Flexibility is needed to assist with special cleaning projects and deep cleaning tasks that help maintain the hotel’s aesthetic appeal and hygiene standards.

Beyond cleaning duties, the role demands strong interpersonal skills, as greeting guests in a friendly and professional manner is essential to promoting a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in housekeeping or custodial roles preferred
  • ability to perform physical labor including lifting and standing for long periods
  • customer service orientation
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • willingness to follow established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Clean designated areas including restrooms, public areas, offices, and banquet/meeting/conference rooms
