This role for a Houseperson in the Housekeeping department of Hilton presents an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and guest service. The Houseperson is tasked with cleaning and maintaining designated areas of the hotel including restrooms, public spaces, offices, and banquet or conference rooms, ensuring these areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. This position is full-time and dedicated to supporting the overall guest experience by performing various cleaning duties such as dusting, polishing furniture, vacuuming carpets, mopping, sweeping, shampooing carpets, washing windows, waxing floors, and removing waste.
In addition to maintaining the physical environment, the Houseperson is also responsible for greeting guests warmly, responding promptly to guest requests, and supporting the housekeeping team by delivering supplies and assisting with guest room cleaning when necessary. The role requires keen attention to detail, a proactive approach to identifying maintenance needs, and strong teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with other hotel departments. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- capable of performing physical tasks such as lifting and standing for extended periods
- willing to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications

- previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks including lifting and standing for long periods
Job Duties
- clean designated areas including restrooms public areas offices and banquet meeting conference rooms
- perform tasks including dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures vacuuming mopping sweeping shampooing carpets washing windows cleaning waxing floors removing and disposing of trash and emptying ashtrays
- greet guests in a friendly manner
- report maintenance deficiencies and items in need of repair
- stock and maintain supply rooms as needed
- perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects
- deliver guest requests and assist in cleaning guest rooms as needed
