Job Description

Hilton is a globally recognized hospitality company known for its commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences, luxurious accommodations, and top-notch services. With a portfolio of more than 6,000 properties worldwide, Hilton has positioned itself as one of the leading hotel chains in the world, celebrated for quality and service excellence. The company operates various hotel brands catering to diverse customer needs, such as luxury, full-service, and focused-service hotels, making it a preferred choice for guests across the globe. Hilton not only values operational excellence but also nurtures a culture of leadership, teamwork, integrity, and ownership to ensure that every guest feels valued and satisfied during their stay.

The role of Houseperson within Hilton’s housekeeping department is a full-time position highly integral to maintaining the cleanliness and overall guest environment in the hotel. As a Houseperson, you will be responsible for ensuring that all designated areas of the hotel — including restrooms, public spaces, offices, banquet and meeting rooms — are impeccably cleaned and maintained. This role is fundamental to upholding the brand’s standards of hygiene and presentation, directly contributing to the positive guest experience and the hotel’s financial profitability.

Key responsibilities include performing a variety of cleaning tasks such as dusting and polishing furniture, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, shampooing carpets, washing windows, and waxing floors. You will also be expected to manage trash removal and ashtray emptying with promptness and care. Beyond general cleaning, the Houseperson plays a guest-centric role by responding warmly to guest requests and assisting housekeeping with special cleaning projects or room-related support.

The Houseperson is also responsible for maintaining supply rooms and reporting any maintenance issues or repair needs, ensuring operational safety and smooth day-to-day hotel functions. This position demands a proactive and disciplined individual with a passion for hospitality, integrity, and teamwork. Hilton fosters a work environment where employees are encouraged to lead by example, take ownership of their responsibilities, and work cohesively with their team to deliver superior guest service with a strong sense of urgency and diligence.

By joining Hilton as a Houseperson, you will become part of a global hospitality leader that values your contributions and offers opportunities for professional growth and development. The company embraces a people-first approach, ensuring that the workforce is supported, recognized, and inspired to reach their potential while consistently exceeding guest expectations. This role typically involves full-time employment, with competitive compensation aligned to industry standards and potential benefits packages including health insurance, paid time off, and employee discounts, reflecting Hilton’s commitment to employee welfare.
