Currently, Hilton A is seeking a full-time Houseperson to join its housekeeping team. The Houseperson plays a vital role in ensuring that the hotel remains clean, attractive, and maintained to the highest standards. This role is integral to the hotel’s operation as it supports housekeeping and guest service teams by keeping public areas, restrooms, offices, and banquet or conference spaces immaculate. The Houseperson is responsible for performing various cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, carpet shampooing, window washing, floor waxing, and trash removal. Additionally, this position requires a friendly demeanor, as Housepersons often interact with guests, responding promptly to their requests and contributing to a positive guest experience.

In this role, attention to detail is paramount since maintaining high cleanliness standards directly influences guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. Moreover, Housepersons are also tasked with reporting maintenance issues, restocking supplies, and occasionally assisting with cleaning guest rooms or delivering guest requests. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work is an advantage
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions
  • Good communication and guest service skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment

Job Duties

  • Clean designated areas including restrooms public areas offices and banquet meeting conference rooms
  • Perform tasks including dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures vacuuming mopping sweeping shampooing carpets washing windows cleaning waxing floors removing and disposing of trash and emptying ashtrays
  • Greet guests in a friendly manner
  • Report maintenance deficiencies and items in need of repair
  • Stock and maintain supply rooms as needed
  • Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects
  • Deliver guest requests and assist in cleaning guest rooms as needed
