In this role, the Houseperson will perform diverse cleaning tasks which include dusting, polishing furniture, vacuuming carpets, mopping floors, cleaning windows, waxing floors, and managing trash disposal. Beyond general maintenance, the Houseperson also participates in deep cleaning projects and special assignments to ensure all areas meet Hilton’s strict standards of cleanliness. Additionally, maintaining inventory in supply rooms and reporting any maintenance issues are key responsibilities. The ability to greet guests courteously and assist with guest requests or room cleaning when necessary highlights the customer-centric focus expected from Hilton’s staff.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Physical capability to perform cleaning tasks and lift at least 30 pounds
  • Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Willingness to undergo background check

Job Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Clean designated areas including restrooms, public areas, offices, banquet, meeting, and conference rooms
  • Dust and polish furniture and fixtures
  • Vacuum, mop, sweep, shampoo carpets, wash windows, clean and wax floors
  • Remove and dispose of trash and empty ashtrays
  • Greet guests in a friendly manner
  • Report maintenance deficiencies and items needing repair
  • Stock and maintain supply rooms as needed
  • Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects
  • Deliver guest requests and assist in cleaning guest rooms as needed
