The Houseperson role at Hilton is a vital part of the housekeeping team, contributing significantly to the smooth operation and ambiance of the hotel. This full-time position involves cleaning and maintaining designated areas such as restrooms, public spaces, offices, and banquet or conference rooms to ensure they meet the brand's rigorous cleanliness and presentation standards. The houseperson directly supports the housekeeping department by performing duties including dusting, polishing furniture, vacuuming, mopping, carpet shampooing, window washing, floor cleaning and waxing, trash removal, and ashtray emptying. Beyond upkeep tasks, this role also requires responding promptly and courteously to guest requests, helping to deliver an exceptional service experience.
In addition to these cleaning responsibilities, the houseperson plays a key role in reporting maintenance issues, stocking supplies, and assisting with deep cleaning projects and special assignments as needed. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- Strong work ethic
- Basic English proficiency

Job Duties
- Clean designated areas including restrooms, public areas, offices and banquet/meeting/conference rooms
- Perform tasks including dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, shampooing carpets, washing windows, cleaning/waxing floors, removing and disposing of trash and emptying ashtrays
- Greet guests in a friendly manner
- Report maintenance deficiencies and items in need of repair
- Stock and maintain supply rooms as needed
- Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects
- Deliver guest requests and assist in cleaning guest rooms as needed
