We are currently seeking a full-time Houseperson to join our Housekeeping team at Hilton. The Houseperson plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of designated hotel areas, ensuring that the environment remains inviting and pleasant for our guests. This role is essential in supporting the hotel's operations by performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties that contribute directly to the overall guest experience and the property’s financial success. The Houseperson is responsible for cleaning public restrooms, offices, banquet halls, meeting rooms, and other public spaces with the highest standards of hygiene and presentation. This includes dusting and polishing furniture, vacuuming carpets, mopping floors, washing windows, and emptying trash receptacles. Additionally, the Houseperson is expected to assist with guest requests, greet guests warmly, identify maintenance issues for timely repairs, and help replenish supplies in storage areas as needed.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in a housekeeping or maintenance role preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift moderate weights
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience is a plus
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and standards

Job Duties

  • Clean designated areas including restrooms public areas offices and banquet meeting conference rooms
  • Perform tasks including dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures vacuuming mopping sweeping shampooing carpets washing windows cleaning waxing floors removing and disposing of trash and emptying ashtrays
  • Greet guests in a friendly manner
  • Report maintenance deficiencies and items in need of repair
  • Stock and maintain supply rooms as needed
  • Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects
  • Deliver guest requests and assist in cleaning guest rooms as needed
