Job Description

Canopy by Hilton is Hilton's first lifestyle brand, designed to offer guests a unique and comfortable experience that reflects the local neighborhood's charm and character. This brand focuses on providing simple, guest-directed service in inviting spaces filled with thoughtful local choices, creating an environment where culture and community are at the forefront. Known for its energetic and positive atmosphere, Canopy by Hilton aims to deliver a "Positive Stay" where guests can relax, recharge, and enjoy memorable moments. The Minneapolis location is situated in the historic Mill District neighborhood, adding to the hotel's appeal by offering a sense of local authenticity within a vibrant urban setting. This property is owned by Sherman Associates and operates as a Hilton franchised location, emphasizing a strong commitment to brand standards and guest satisfaction.

The Housekeeping Operations role at Canopy by Hilton Minneapolis is an important part of maintaining the hotel's high standards of cleanliness and guest comfort. This position involves overseeing the cleaning of guest rooms, public spaces, and laundry production. The individual will work closely with the Housekeeping Supervisor to support day-to-day operations, including covering shifts, training staff, assisting with scheduling, and performing other housekeeping-related duties as needed. This role demands attention to detail, physical stamina, and a passion for delivering exceptional service in a team-oriented environment. Candidates invited for this part-time opportunity will have schedules that include weekdays and weekends, and the starting pay rate is $17.50 per hour.

As a Housekeeping Operations team member, you will play a key role in ensuring that Canopy guests experience the brand's "Positively Yours" service culture. Responsibilities include cleaning carpets, upholstered furniture, and common areas, as well as managing linen and supplies, helping with heavy lifting during deep cleans, and promptly responding to guest requests. The role requires multitasking across various housekeeping functions such as trash collection, linen sorting, restocking amenities, and occasionally stepping in to fill roles such as room attendant when necessary. A commitment to upholding brand standards, health and safety regulations, and maintaining a neat and professional appearance is essential. The work environment includes exposure to cleaning chemicals, physical activity involving lifting and moving heavy equipment, and operating in potentially noisy conditions. This position also requires passing a criminal background screening as part of the hiring process.

Overall, this housekeeping role offers a meaningful opportunity for individuals with hospitality experience or a strong customer service orientation to contribute to the welcoming atmosphere of Canopy by Hilton in Minneapolis. The role not only demands diligence and reliability but also offers a supportive workplace where team members, known as "friendly enthusiasts," engage guests warmly to create truly memorable stays. Sherman Associates emphasizes equal opportunity employment and encourages people from diverse backgrounds to apply, reinforcing the inclusive and community-focused spirit of this unique lifestyle hotel brand.
