The role of Floor Houseperson at the Hotel Amarano Burbank is a vital position within the housekeeping team, dedicated to maintaining cleanliness and efficiency across guest floors. This role supports room attendants by handling physically demanding tasks such as moving heavy items like mattresses and linens, removing and transporting soiled linens to the laundry area, and managing the washing, folding, and distribution of fresh linens throughout the day. The Floor Houseperson position requires physical stamina and the ability to work efficiently under various conditions, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience in hotel housekeeping, a good knowledge of cleaning agents and equipment, and the physical capability to lift up to 75 pounds and handle equipment up to 100 pounds. Job Qualifications

  • Previous hotel housekeeping experience
  • knowledge of chemical cleaning agents
  • knowledge of operation of cleaning equipment

  • ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Assist room attendants with heavy items such as mattresses and linens
  • deliver linens and other supplies to room attendants
  • remove all dirty linens from assigned room attendants carts and closets and transport to laundry
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of floor, closets, water and ice stations
  • remove trash, wipe down shelves and counters, sweep and wax floor, remove non-floor closet items and store them in appropriate areas
  • clean designated areas such as public restrooms, fixtures, storage areas, and other public areas for assigned floors
  • monitor and control supplies and amenities and minimize waste within all housekeeping areas
  • communicate and collaborate with other departments about guest needs, requests, and complaints
  • respond promptly to guest requests such as delivery of housekeeping supplies
  • respond to guest complaints and ensure corrective action for satisfaction
  • perform other job-related duties as assigned
