Job Requirements
- Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 pounds
- ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- ability to scrub, scour surfaces, and work in confined spaces
- ability to extend arms overhead
- ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and walk for most of the shift
- availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Job Qualifications
- Previous hotel housekeeping experience
- knowledge of chemical cleaning agents
- knowledge of operation of cleaning equipment
- strong communication skills
- ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Assist room attendants with heavy items such as mattresses and linens
- deliver linens and other supplies to room attendants
- remove all dirty linens from assigned room attendants carts and closets and transport to laundry
- maintain cleanliness and organization of floor, closets, water and ice stations
- remove trash, wipe down shelves and counters, sweep and wax floor, remove non-floor closet items and store them in appropriate areas
- clean designated areas such as public restrooms, fixtures, storage areas, and other public areas for assigned floors
- monitor and control supplies and amenities and minimize waste within all housekeeping areas
- communicate and collaborate with other departments about guest needs, requests, and complaints
- respond promptly to guest requests such as delivery of housekeeping supplies
- respond to guest complaints and ensure corrective action for satisfaction
- perform other job-related duties as assigned
