The role of the hallways cleaner and support staff is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of all guest-related public spaces within the hotel. Responsibilities include cleaning guest hallways and corridors to ensure a spotless environment for guests as they move through the property. An important part of the position involves the removal of trash from hallway trash cans, housekeeping carts, guest rooms, and proper disposal into the trash dumpster. This role demands thorough vacuuming of guest hallways, elevators, carpet edges, and stairwells, alongside cleaning and shampooing carpets, mopping floors, and maintaining the cleanliness of vending areas including ice machines, candy machines, and soda machines. Attention to detail is critical, such as dusting light fixtures, fire extinguisher boxes, and railings to uphold safety and aesthetic standards. Additionally, the role supports housekeeping operations by removing soiled linen from carts, transporting it to the laundry room for cleaning, and restocking carts with clean linens as needed.
