Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree
  • one to three months related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • ability to read and understand safety rules and maintenance instructions
  • ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • ability to perform basic mathematical operations
  • ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • physical capability to perform cleaning duties including lifting heavy items
  • ability to work with cleaning chemicals and operate cleaning equipment
  • good communication skills
  • willingness to provide excellent customer service

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
  • ability to read and interpret safety and procedural documents
  • ability to write routine reports
  • basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

Job Duties

  • Clean and maintain hotel lobby, hallways, public restrooms, and public areas
  • maintain surrounding hotel exterior including sidewalks, signage, entrance, and alley
  • perform deep cleaning tasks such as shampooing rooms and public areas, washing windows, cleaning light fixtures, and guest elevators
  • maintain back of the house areas
  • deliver housekeeping items to guest rooms upon request
  • receive assignments, keys and special guest requests at shift start
  • check and replenish cleaning supplies and tools
  • greet guests and respond to their requests promptly and courteously
  • follow procedures for entering and leaving guest rooms
  • return lost and found items with proper documentation
  • operate washers, dryers, linen feeders, and ironing machines following manufacturer guidelines
  • monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and linens, minimizing waste and reporting discrepancies
