Job Description

Hotel Verdant is a distinguished boutique hotel located in the heart of Downtown Racine, Wisconsin. This intimate 80-room establishment prides itself on providing an exceptional hospitality experience to its guests. With its elegant accommodation options, coupled with a full-service restaurant named Marguerite and a vibrant rooftop bar called Eave, the hotel offers a luxurious yet inviting atmosphere that caters to both business travelers and leisure guests. Hotel Verdant's commitment to excellence is evident in its attention to detail and exceptional service, making it a sought-after destination in the region. The hotel's downtown location also places guests within easy reach of local attractions, shopping, and cultural events, enhancing the overall experience of their stay.

The role being offered at Hotel Verdant is an Evening Cleaning Attendant position with working hours typically from 3 or 4 pm to 10 or 11 pm. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and pristine appearance of the hotel, contributing directly to the overall guest experience. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring all public and back-of-house areas, including the lobby, hallways, restrooms, and surrounding property, are impeccably clean and well-maintained. This includes detailed tasks such as window washing, deep cleaning of rooms and public spaces, and maintaining guest elevators and exterior signage. Additionally, the role involves operating washers and dryers, managing laundry tasks, and handling housekeeping item deliveries to guest rooms in response to front desk requests.

In this position, excellent customer service skills are necessary, as the employee will be greeting guests and responding promptly to any requests, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor at all times. The role demands physical stamina since it involves lifting, moving objects, and using various cleaning tools and equipment. Attention to detail is paramount, as employees also manage lost-and-found items, replenish supplies, and follow safety and procedural guidelines closely. This is a non-supervisory position but requires effective communication with supervisors and team coordination to efficiently manage tasks and fulfill guest satisfaction goals.

Working at Hotel Verdant provides a unique opportunity to be part of a high-standard hospitality team where quality service and guest experience take priority. It offers career growth potential within the hospitality industry and the chance to work in a dynamic and welcoming environment.
