Job Requirements

  • ability to handle automatic floor scrubbing machines, floor buffers, and wet and dry vacuum
  • ability to read and understand English
  • part-time availability Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 6:45 PM
  • live within a commutable distance to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital
  • willingness to work onsite
  • ability to engage warmly and professionally with patients and families

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • prior customer service experience in hotel, restaurant, or retail settings preferred
  • able to read and understand English
  • experience handling floor-cleaning equipment is advantageous
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to work part-time afternoon shifts
  • commitment to provide compassionate and supportive service to patients

Job Duties

  • maintain cleanliness and safety within the hospital environment
  • operate automatic floor scrubbing machines, floor buffers, and wet/dry vacuum cleaners
  • provide excellent customer service by engaging warmly with patients and families
  • ensure infection control protocols are followed consistently
  • build strong relationships with patients to support their comfort and well-being
  • collaborate with team members to uphold hospital cleanliness standards
  • report any maintenance or safety issues promptly
