Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • successful completion of general and department specific orientation
  • ability to work evening shift from 3 PM to 11 PM
  • capability to perform physical tasks involved in housekeeping work
  • knowledge of cleaning procedures and safety protocols
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to follow instructions and work independently

Job Qualifications

  • Successful completion of general and department specific orientation
  • previous hospital housekeeping experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Arrange furniture for meetings, workshops and community affairs
  • assists in cleaning of emergency spills observed or upon request
  • cleans housekeeping closet and maintains par levels
  • collects and transport all waste, including RMW, according to policy
  • compacts trash or places in containers
  • damp buffs and shampoo carpets with approved equipment
  • dry and wet mops floors of rooms and offices
  • dust mops and wet mops corridor, stairwells and other common areas
  • empties waste receptacles and removes trash
  • maintains assigned equipment for cleanliness and has repairs made when needed
  • observes and reports the need to repair equipment, furniture, building and fixtures
  • performs patient discharge cleaning using 7-step cleaning procedure
  • refills paper towels, toilet paper, soap and toilet seat dispensers
  • ensure patient ready room standards are maintained including tent cards, privacy curtains and toilet seat bands
