Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
successful completion of general and department specific orientation
ability to work evening shift from 3 PM to 11 PM
capability to perform physical tasks involved in housekeeping work
knowledge of cleaning procedures and safety protocols
effective communication skills
ability to follow instructions and work independently

Job Qualifications

Successful completion of general and department specific orientation
previous hospital housekeeping experience preferred

Job Duties

Arrange furniture for meetings, workshops and community affairs
assists in cleaning of emergency spills observed or upon request
cleans housekeeping closet and maintains par levels
collects and transport all waste, including RMW, according to policy
compacts trash or places in containers
damp buffs and shampoo carpets with approved equipment
dry and wet mops floors of rooms and offices
dust mops and wet mops corridor, stairwells and other common areas
empties waste receptacles and removes trash
maintains assigned equipment for cleanliness and has repairs made when needed
observes and reports the need to repair equipment, furniture, building and fixtures
performs patient discharge cleaning using 7-step cleaning procedure
refills paper towels, toilet paper, soap and toilet seat dispensers
ensure patient ready room standards are maintained including tent cards, privacy curtains and toilet seat bands
