Job Requirements
- Successful completion of general and department specific orientation
- Ability to perform physical cleaning tasks
- Willingness to work the scheduled 7 AM to 3 PM shift
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow cleaning protocols and safety procedures
Job Qualifications
- Successful completion of general and department specific orientation
- Previous hospital housekeeping experience preferred
Job Duties
- Arrange furniture for meetings, workshops and community affairs
- Assists in cleaning of emergency spills observed or upon request
- Cleans housekeeping closet and maintains par levels
- Collects and transport all waste, including RMW, according to policy
- Compacts trash or places in containers
- Damp buffs and shampoo carpets with approved equipment
- Dry and wet mops floors of rooms and offices
- Dust mops and wet mops corridor, stairwells and other common areas
- Empties waste receptacles and removes trash
- Maintains assigned equipment for cleanliness and has repairs made when needed
- Observes and reports the need to repair equipment, furniture, building and fixtures
- Performs patient discharge cleaning using 7-step cleaning procedure
- Refills paper towels, toilet paper, soap and toilet seat dispensers
- Ensure patient ready rooms by placing tent cards, toilet seat bands and privacy curtains in every patient room
