Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA safety and health regulations
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness
- Capable of lifting and handling cleaning supplies and waste materials
- Reliable and able to work in person at the facility
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to cleaning and sanitation practices
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within healthcare or commercial settings
- Strong understanding of environmental services procedures including infection control and waste management
- Ability to operate various floor care machinery safely and effectively
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness in cleaning tasks
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues promptly
- Prior experience in hospital or healthcare environments is preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of patient rooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Ensure all surfaces are sanitized according to established protocols, maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
- Handle waste disposal efficiently while adhering to environmental services guidelines and OSHA regulations
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, including logs for sanitation procedures and safety checks
- Operate floor care equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and scrubbers to ensure floors are spotless and well-maintained
- Follow proper procedures for handling hazardous materials and cleaning chemicals to ensure safety for yourself and others
- Collaborate with team members to complete daily cleaning schedules efficiently while maintaining quality standards
