The role of Housekeeper at Tucson Racquet and Fitness Club is critical in ensuring that the facility remains inviting, hygienic, and well-maintained. This position is responsible for executing a variety of cleaning and organizational tasks that contribute directly to the comfort and satisfaction of all club patrons and employees. The position operates Friday through Monday, with shifts from 7 A.M. to 5 P.M., offering a stable part-time employment opportunity with pay starting at $15.00 per hour.
As a Housekeeper, you will be entrusted with conducting routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces across the club. This includes responsibilities in common areas like hallways, lobbies, kitchens, and workspaces, where cleanliness plays an essential role in the user experience. Beyond routine maintenance, your role will involve restocking supplies in restrooms and other areas to ensure availability and convenience for everyone that uses the facility. You will also be tasked with emptying trash and recycling bins, caring for floor cleanliness and glass surfaces, and performing periodic deep cleanings to uphold the highest hygiene standards.
Key to this position is the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while consistently demonstrating excellent organizational and time management skills. Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and supplies, in accordance with health and safety regulations, is necessary to safely and effectively carry out cleaning processes. Additional duties include monitoring and reporting any maintenance or repair needs promptly, contributing to the overall upkeep and functionality of the club environment.
This position not only requires physical endurance such as lifting, bending, stretching, standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking for extended periods but also a strong attention to detail to identify areas that need cleaning or repair. - previous cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred but not required
- close attention to detail and ability to work independently
- strong communication and ability to follow instructions
- ability to lift push or pull at least 35 lbs
- ability to reach overhead and below the knees bend stretch stand sit kneel or walk for extended periods
- must follow management assignments policies and procedures
- remain free from illegal drug use
- must consent to a background check
Job Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping mopping dusting and sanitizing surfaces
- work with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of performance
- knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies along with familiarity with health and safety regulations
- restock restrooms and facility supplies as needed
