Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience
  • good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • any combination of education and experience equivalent to high school diploma
  • ability to lift and move regularly up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • ability to stand for eight hour shifts
  • ability to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling
  • specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and focus adjustment
  • willingness to follow safety and security policies
  • flexibility to work full-time or part-time
  • willingness to work flexible schedules

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of housekeeping experience with knowledge of standard operating procedures and techniques

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning bath and kitchen areas
  • vacuum or wash all floors
  • remove trash from guest rooms
  • dust and polish all guest room furnishings
  • maintain outside room appearance by cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, windows, and removing outdoor trash
  • ensure all hotel areas meet company cleanliness standards
  • visually inspect guest rooms, public and service areas for quality
  • notify supervisor of any safety or security policy violations and guest concerns
  • operate housekeeping equipment and restock supplies
  • notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
