This position is for a Housekeeper at InTown Suites, a role integral to ensuring the cleanliness and overall guest satisfaction within the hotel's guest rooms and surrounding areas. Housekeepers at InTown Suites are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of guest rooms, including bathrooms and kitchens, cleaning floors by vacuuming or washing, removing trash, dusting, and polishing furniture. In addition to indoor duties, housekeepers are expected to maintain the appearance of the exterior areas, including cleaning doors, windows, air conditioning grills, and managing trash in surrounding outdoor areas. Individuals in this role must uphold company standards across all areas of the hotel, regardless of specific assignments, and conduct visual inspections to verify the quality of cleanliness and presentation in guest rooms, public areas, and service zones.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year housekeeping experience
  • Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand for eight-hour shifts
  • Capable of sitting, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling occasionally
  • Good vision including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
  • Exposure to extreme weather conditions such as cold and heat
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to operate housekeeping equipment and restock supplies

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-year housekeeping experience with good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning bath and kitchen areas, cleaning floors by vacuuming or washing, removing trash from guest rooms, dusting and polishing all guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance, including cleaning sliding doors, air conditioning grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
  • Ensure all areas of the hotel meet company standards, even if not specifically assigned
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations and guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Always maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
