The Housekeeper role at InTown Suites is essential in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and presentation that the brand is known for. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for cleaning guest rooms to the highest standards, including bathrooms, kitchens, floors, furniture, and removing trash. Your duties will also extend to maintaining the exterior appearances of the rooms and ensuring common areas meet the company’s quality expectations. The role demands superior customer service skills when interacting with guests to help create a positive and welcoming atmosphere. Housekeepers will operate cleaning equipment, keep their supplies well-stocked, and immediately notify supervisors of any safety concerns or guest issues. Physical demands include lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and sometimes up to 50 pounds, standing for eight-hour shifts, and working under varying indoor conditions and weather exposure. Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience
  • Good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand for eight-hour shifts
  • Capacity to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl as needed
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules and maintain superior customer service

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience including knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
  • Any combination of education, training, or experience providing required knowledge, skills and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning all bath and kitchen areas, cleaning floors by vacuuming or washing, removing all trash from guest rooms, dusting and polishing all guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, air conditioning grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
  • Ensure all areas of the hotel meet company standards even if not specifically assigned
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
  • Notify supervisor immediately of safety or security policy violations and guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
