Job Requirements
- Three to six months minimum related experience and/or training in public area cleaning
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Knowledge of carpet cleaning equipment, high speed buffers, power wash equipment and marble polishing
- Ability to effectively communicate in English both written and verbal
- Ability to read, write, comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to work with cleaning products, chemicals and solvents using safety equipment provided by the company
- Must be able to tolerate a fast-paced environment with regular exposure to cigarette smoke and loud noise
- Frequently lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 50 lbs
- Ability to use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity
- Ability to communicate via radios and pagers
- Walking, bending, and crouching more than 75 percent of the time
- Ability to work for sustained periods maintaining concentrated attention to detail
- Regularly exposed to elements such as wind, rain, sunlight
- Moderately exposed to cigarette smoke
- Noise level in the environment is usually moderate
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 80 pounds
- Ascend or descend ladders, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like
- Use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity
- Walk, stand and/or crouch on narrow, slippery or moving surfaces
- Need to distinguish between shades of color
- Work may require use of close, distance, color and peripheral vision
- May require depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Regularly cleans items such as signs, ceiling vents, fans, walls, elevators, escalators, TVs, light fixtures, windows at heights up to 25 feet using ladders or high lifts
- Scrubs, polishes, disinfects and wipes items including trashcans, concrete, carpets, furniture, and fixtures
- Uses heavy commercial and industrial equipment to clean floors, decks, carpets, sidewalks, and parking areas
- Uses chemicals, cleansers, and solvents safely according to Material Safety Data Sheets
- Occasionally assists with lifting and moving heavy items including furniture and boxes
- Maintains and handles all equipment safely and reports malfunctions to supervisor
- Fills chemical bottles and prepares cleaning equipment as needed
- Cleans, stores, and maintains equipment according to manufacturer instructions and training
- Handles and disposes of biohazardous materials in accordance with OSHA training
- Performs other duties as assigned
