Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents
- Ability to read and interpret safety and instruction documents
- Interest in working with seniors
- Ability to perform physical duties including standing, walking, lifting, and reaching
- Availability Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Temporary employment status
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in the primary language of residents
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Demonstrates interest in working with a senior population
- Courteous and friendly interaction with guests, residents, and staff
- Physical ability to stand, walk, use hands, and reach with arms regularly
- Capable of climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling frequently
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Visual abilities including close and color vision
Job Duties
- Performs cleaning duties according to schedule in assigned areas such as apartment homes, common areas, lounges and offices
- Sweeps, dusts, dust mops, and wet mops all floors and stairways
- Spot cleans and vacuums floors, rugs, carpets and runners
- Rotates runners in hallways and entryways
- Cleans, sanitizes, and polishes lavatory, shower and sink fixtures and facilities
- Stocks dispensers as necessary
- Scrubs bath and shower room tiles, woodwork, window frames, and sills
- Maintains equipment and materials in clean and orderly condition
- Collects trash and refuse and places in designated pick-up areas
- Collects, cleans and redistributes community laundry
- Maintains commercial laundry cleanliness and sanitation
- Stores cleaning chemicals securely when not in use
- Keeps work areas hazard-free and complies with fire codes
- Reports repairs and supply needs to Lead Housekeeper
- Performs other duties as assigned
