Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50lbs following appropriate safety procedures
  • Work in an upright standing position for long periods
  • Crawl in small and tight spaces
  • Ability to work in different environmental conditions such as heat, cold, wind, rain
  • Walk and climb stairs
  • Handle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment
  • Reach with hands and arms
  • Navigate the property and building quickly and efficiently
  • Repeat various motions with wrists, hands, and fingers
  • Ability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner
  • Climb ladders and work at heights up to 3 feet

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency preferred
  • Previous custodial experience preferred
  • Multiple language fluency is desirable
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills required

Job Duties

  • Perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties including sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs and window cleaning
  • Inform supervisor of needed supplies
  • Maintain all cleaning solutions according to OSHA requirements for hazardous chemicals
  • Remove trash from premises and assist in emergency cleaning
  • Properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures
  • Maintain a friendly and professional attitude
  • Maintain appropriate levels of sanitary and cleaning supplies
  • Inspect assigned areas daily and report discrepancies
  • Adhere to security procedures
  • Follow safety precautions during work
  • Complete daily work orders as scheduled
  • Clean restrooms including sweeping and mopping floors and refilling dispensers
  • Clean toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, and counters
  • Report deficiencies to the supervisor
  • Maintain assigned equipment in good working condition
