Job Description

The Temecula KOA at Vail Lake Resort is a picturesque outdoor campground destination nestled in the scenic landscape of Southern California. Situated among a grove of majestic oak trees, this year-round park offers visitors a unique blend of natural beauty and recreational opportunities. Conveniently located close to the renowned Temecula wine country, the stunning Vail Lake, and extensive mountain biking, horseback riding, and hiking trails, the resort serves as a perfect getaway for camping enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. With its commitment to providing a memorable outdoor experience, the Temecula KOA at Vail Lake Resort prides itself on fostering a friendly, welcoming atmosphere that encourages families and travelers to enjoy the great outdoors while creating lasting memories.

As part of the resort's ongoing mission to uphold high standards of hospitality and customer service, the housekeeping hospitality team plays a vital role in ensuring that guests feel comfortable and well-cared for throughout their stay. The resort is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join this team in a seasonal, part-time capacity starting in May. Working hours vary depending on the department's needs and can range anytime between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m., with most shifts typically occurring from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Team members can expect to work 10 to 25 hours weekly, with high activity periods centering around holidays and weekends. The role offers competitive pay starting at $17 per hour, with increases based on experience.

The housekeeping hospitality role is dynamic and involves a wide range of responsibilities aimed at maintaining the campground's cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance. Team members are expected to provide a superior level of customer service consistent with the resort's philosophy, collaborating closely with other staff and management to address guests’ needs and concerns promptly. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, especially in English, are essential, and bilingual abilities are considered a plus. Employees will utilize various tools such as communication platforms to maintain seamless coordination across departments.

Key duties include the cleaning and upkeep of restroom facilities and all buildings within the campground, janitorial work, and preparing deluxe cabins and tents for guest arrivals. This preparation involves meticulous attention to detail, such as stripping linens, washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, making beds, vacuuming, replenishing supplies, and maintaining neat outdoor spaces. Laundry responsibilities for linens are also part of the role, along with organizing all housekeeping supplies to ensure efficiency and readiness.

This position requires individuals who can perform physically demanding tasks, including prolonged standing, lifting up to 30 pounds, climbing stairs, bending, and repetitive movements throughout the shift. The successful candidate must be able to multitask effectively, prioritize duties, and work both independently and as part of a team amidst a fast-paced environment. A professional appearance and courteous attitude towards guests and colleagues are mandatory to maintain the resort's welcoming environment. The ideal candidate thrives on creating positive guest experiences and is proactive in addressing challenges with creative problem-solving skills.

Overall, working at the Temecula KOA at Vail Lake Resort offers a unique opportunity to be part of a vibrant team in a beautiful outdoor setting. It is an excellent fit for individuals who enjoy active roles, social interaction, and contributing to a memorable camping experience for diverse guests.
