Job Description
The Temecula KOA at Vail Lake Resort is a premier outdoor campground destination located in beautiful Southern California, nestled amongst a grove of oak trees. This year-round resort offers an exceptional camping experience in close proximity to the scenic Temecula wine country, the stunning Vail Lake, and extensive mountain biking, horseback riding, and hiking trails. Our campground is well known for providing visitors with a peaceful, natural environment combined with easy access to a variety of outdoor recreational activities, making it an ideal spot for families, adventurers, and nature lovers alike. As a respected member of the KOA network, we pride ourselves on creating memorable stays by combining the beauty of nature with top-tier amenities and services.
We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our housekeeping hospitality team for the upcoming season. This role is perfect for those who enjoy working in a dynamic, guest-focused environment where delivering excellent customer service is a priority. The position is seasonal and part-time, beginning in May, with flexible working days based on departmental needs, including weekends and holidays. Scheduled hours typically range from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., with the majority falling between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m., depending on occupancy and assigned duties. Employees will work approximately 10 to 25 hours per week, with pay starting at $17 per hour, commensurate with experience.
The Housekeeping Hospitality team plays a critical role in ensuring the campground remains clean, orderly, and welcoming for all guests. Responsibilities include the detailed cleaning and maintenance of restroom facilities, janitorial tasks across all campground buildings, and preparation of deluxe cabins and deluxe tents for guest arrivals. This preparation involves stripping linens, washing dishes, cleaning all surfaces, making beds, vacuuming, replenishing consumables, and tidying outdoor areas. Team members will also assist in laundry services and maintain the organization of housekeeping supplies.
In addition to cleaning and maintenance, this role involves proactive guest management to uphold a positive environment. Clear communication and coordination with guest service and front desk staff are essential to facilitate smooth guest arrivals and address any issues that arise. Employees must enforce campground policies in alignment with the park’s goals and use creative problem-solving skills to handle various situations professionally and effectively.
This position demands a high level of physical activity, including standing throughout shifts, lifting up to 30 pounds, climbing stairs, bending, and repetitive movement. Candidates should have excellent customer service and communication skills, be able to multitask and prioritize responsibilities efficiently, and be comfortable working independently or as part of a team. A professional appearance and patient, respectful attitude toward guests and colleagues are essential. English language proficiency is required, and bilingual skills are a plus.
Joining the Temecula KOA housekeeping team means becoming part of a dedicated group committed to delivering outstanding service and creating a fun, memorable experience for every camper. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking seasonal part-time work in a beautiful outdoor setting who enjoy engaging with people and contributing to a successful team dynamic.
