Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year of housekeeping experience
  • ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 30 pounds
  • ability to stand, walk, twist, reach, bend for entire shift
  • use hands to operate cleaning equipment
  • visual acuity to inspect cleanliness
  • ability to work under varying weather conditions
  • excellent communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of housekeeping experience in guest service or commercial cleaning environment
  • previous supervisory experience preferred
  • working knowledge of cleaning utensils, dryers, vacuum cleaners, tools and fixtures
  • ability to follow directions and train others
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to perform simple addition and subtraction calculations

Job Duties

  • Coordinate all daily activities and plan for sufficient staffing to clean guest rooms and public areas
  • train new housekeeping team members
  • inspect guest rooms and public outlets
  • prepare weekly inventory, check-in supplies, and report discrepancies
  • create purchase orders as needed
  • complete the daily housekeeping report
  • ensure maintenance requests are handled efficiently
  • perform cleaning duties during slow days or staff shortages
