Job Description

The Renaissance Framingham Hotel and Conference Center is currently seeking a dedicated, engaging, and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the housekeeping team. The role is pivotal in ensuring that the hotel complies with the company and brand standards by delivering the highest level of cleanliness to all guest areas. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader, ready to support and develop the team of housekeeping associates while improving guest satisfaction scores. This position involves both supervisory responsibilities and active participation in the housekeeping operations, including auditing performance, inspecting rooms, and ensuring supplies and equipment are well maintained and organized.

The Housekeeping Supervisor will perform daily inspections of rooms and public spaces to enforce quality and safety standards, support the Executive Housekeeper and hotel leadership, and coordinate assignments to optimize productivity. This role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, leadership capabilities, and proficient time management and organizational skills to successfully manage and motivate the housekeeping team. Experience with property management systems and common computer software is essential, with bilingual skills being an added advantage.

Beyond the immediate responsibilities, the Housekeeping Supervisor contributes to creating a welcoming environment by maintaining rooms and public areas immaculate for arriving guests, including VIPs, and assisting the team during peak times or other duties as assigned. The role is hourly, with a wage range of $19.00 to $20.00, reflecting the company's competitive compensation approach. Job Duties

  • Tour and inspect rooms daily and monitor for property cleanliness, safety and security, product quality and exceptional service throughout
  • Provide support to the Executive Housekeeper and hotel leadership
  • Work to continuously improve guest satisfaction scores
  • Conduct self-audits to improve performance and cleanliness
  • Verify number of associates to number of rooms and monitor productivity
  • Assign specific responsibilities to associates
  • Identify vacant rooms to be cleaned first on boards
  • Check vacant ready rooms to verify actual status
  • Record performance check as guests check out throughout day
  • Check rooms for arriving VIPs
  • Ensure housekeeping associates have adequate supplies and carts are neatly packed and organized
  • Report unserviceable rooms to General Manager or Executive Housekeeper
  • Assist housekeeping associates in duties as needed
  • Assist with cleaning of public spaces as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
