Job Description

The Pennant Group, Inc. is a prominent holding company that manages a diverse portfolio of independent operating subsidiaries specializing in healthcare services across the United States. These subsidiaries provide home health, hospice care, and senior living community services, each functioning as autonomous entities complete with their own management teams, employees, and assets. The Pennant Group is dedicated to delivering superior quality care and fostering a supportive environment for seniors and their families, ensuring that the needs of their communities are met with compassion and professionalism. More information about the company can be found on their official website at www.pennantgroup.com.

Currently, one of their senior living communities is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor who will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, their families, and visitors. This position is ideal for a professional who embodies the company's core values: Celebration, Accountability, Passion for Learning, Love One Another, Intelligent Risk Taking, Customer Second (Employee First!), and Ownership. These values guide all team members in creating a supportive and respectful community atmosphere.

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily cleaning operations within the community, ensuring all assigned areas meet established cleanliness standards. This includes supervising basic cleaning duties such as dusting surfaces, emptying wastebaskets, cleaning furniture, and maintaining bathroom fixtures. The supervisor also ensures the floors are sanitized, spot cleaning is performed on walls and windows, and room supplies like toilet paper, tissues, and soap are replenished in a timely manner. More advanced cleaning tasks, such as carpet shampooing, window washing, wall wiping, and cleaning light fixtures, also fall under the supervision or direct performance of the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Additionally, this role involves ensuring all cleaning protocols adhere to infection control measures, including the use of Standard Precautions. The Housekeeping Supervisor is expected to manage cleaning products securely and correctly using only community-approved items, following all safety and usage instructions. The care and maintenance of cleaning equipment are also part of the job, with the responsibility to recommend repairs or replacements when necessary. The supervisor may assist with emergency spill clean-ups and is expected to foster a proactive approach to maintaining a safe and healthy environment.

The employment opportunity within this senior living community offers a chance to join a team dedicated to making a tangible difference in the lives of elderly residents and their families. By becoming part of this team, the Housekeeping Supervisor contributes directly to the quality of life within the community, helping create a welcoming, hygienic, and happy place to live and work. This role demands attention to detail, leadership skills, and alignment with the company’s values, which emphasize employee well-being and community stewardship at the core of their service mission. Candidates who resonate with these values and possess the necessary experience and drive are encouraged to apply, promising a fulfilling career path within an evolving and respected organization.
