Job Duties
- Handles chemicals and solutions per departmental and safety standards
- ensures proper labeling and use of chemicals
- stocks and maintains service and equipment areas
- instructs and trains employees on equipment and cleaning procedures
- performs daily maintenance of departmental programs
- manages substandard equipment and coordinates repairs
- resolves interpersonal conflicts and communicates with other departments
- prepares and reviews work schedules
- presents department positively to visitors and hospital personnel
- delegates tasks effectively and checks staff performance
- completes employee evaluations and addresses performance issues
- inspects floors and follows up with staff
- schedules staff and ensures adequate coverage
- submits timely reports and performs administrative duties
- ensures compliance with safety and regulatory policies
