Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • two years experience in environmental services in a supervisory role
  • knowledge of departmental safety and regulatory policies
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to train and instruct employees
  • capacity for conflict resolution and problem-solving
  • physical ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, climbing
  • commitment to punctuality and dependability
  • proficiency in administrative duties
  • mental and emotional stability to work in a healthcare environment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Handles chemicals and solutions per departmental and safety standards
  • ensures proper labeling and use of chemicals
  • stocks and maintains service and equipment areas
  • instructs and trains employees on equipment and cleaning procedures
  • performs daily maintenance of departmental programs
  • manages substandard equipment and coordinates repairs
  • resolves interpersonal conflicts and communicates with other departments
  • prepares and reviews work schedules
  • presents department positively to visitors and hospital personnel
  • delegates tasks effectively and checks staff performance
  • completes employee evaluations and addresses performance issues
  • inspects floors and follows up with staff
  • schedules staff and ensures adequate coverage
  • submits timely reports and performs administrative duties
  • ensures compliance with safety and regulatory policies
