Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year customer service experience
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques and chemical handling
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to lead and train staff

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of customer service experience
  • Experience at a comparable AAA Four Diamond or Four Star hotel or resort is highly desired
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and equipment use
  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and hotel data
  • Ability to ascertain departmental training needs and provide training
  • Ability to direct staff performance and follow-up with corrections
  • Fluency in English verbal and non-verbal
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards
  • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment and use equipment only as intended
  • Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests regardless of time or workload
  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times
  • Resolve guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
  • Verify room status on a.m. reports
  • prioritize and update status of check-out rooms
  • Prepare and distribute assignment sheets and review priorities
  • Assign designated guest room keys and maintain accurate records and security
  • Communicate changes to assignments throughout the shift
  • Inspect supply levels and assign personnel to rectify deficiencies
  • Check Room Attendant carts for supplies and cleanliness
  • Inspect rooms cleaned by Room Attendants using checklist and relay any deficiencies
  • Update room status after approval of cleanliness
  • Check vacant and DND rooms and verify and update status
  • Inspect public areas after cleaning using checklists
  • Complete work orders for maintenance repairs
  • Document information in department log book
  • Complete paperwork and closing duties
  • Review status reports and collaborate with manager or on-coming supervisor
  • Check p.m. reports for accuracy and complete night counts according to standards
