Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to understand and follow the Trailblazer Guide, housekeeping manual and emergency/evacuation procedures
  • Must be able to follow instructions, influence others, meet time requirements, memorization skills, problem solve, use independent judgment and decision-making skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and guests
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English and Spanish
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, and high energy level
  • Knowledge of chemical use, OSHA regulations, and biohazard clean-up procedures

Job Duties

  • Sign in and receive work assignments and room attendants' keys for the day
  • Deliver daily assignments and keys to room attendants at the beginning of the shift
  • Assist with the training, organization, and direction of all guest room attendants and housepersons including completion of work assignments on time
  • Respond to calls and staff requests in a timely manner
  • Handle guest complaints promptly
  • Continuously inspect rooms for cleanliness, making sure standards are met and correcting deficiencies prior to the room being occupied
  • Inspect public areas in the hotel tower to ensure cleanliness and safety
